Conservation in action. A beautiful example of how the sanctuary is taking care of nature. We spent a good hour there. Very informative and you can also donate to help the birds. R150 feeds a few of them, R500 goes towards a custom built "nest" for the penguins. R1000 gets your name plate on the wall outside. Some interesting things penguin (soft toys etc)to buy among others. They happen to offer the best cheese cake in Gansbaai. We'll worth a visit.

Great to see wildlife rehabilitation in practice and you get to make a difference by donating money to feed, house or rehabilitate a penguin. We donated for a penguin house in my daughter's name, hoping that when she grows up she'll still be able to see penguins in the wild. The carrot cake was sublime and the coffee just right. Thanks for all you do!

This is such a lovely little gem! It is run with the help of a Volkswagen initiative. You can sit down have a coffee and the best cheesecake in town while watching the penguins play in the water. Come during feeding time and get a also enjoy an informative talk while seeing the little ones eating their fish. Entry is free and there is even a small curio shop where you can just buy the most adorable things.

Lovely little place, great amenities, lovely facility for information and learning about the African (jackass) penguin, to hear the stories of the various penguins and to see firsthand the work that SANCCOB is doing.

Loved the ambiance, great service. Lovely little curious shop with affordable gifts. Would be lovely if they have a morning talk/education session.

What they do for these animals are amazing! Xarah loved the experience, lots of souvenirs to take home. A great café to sit and enjoy a coffee and a slice of cake. Donate a penguin home for R500 or sponsor a feed for R200.
