It was recommended by someone im still shocked I can't even sleep,they quoted us R669 for heavy duty door frames which sell for R259,they quoted us R511 for a metre of sand that costs R330 the list is endless im so dissapointed in this price fixing.I can't wait to for them to open so that I can get my refund.

Always been a big supporter of Magnum Sand and Stone. Counter sales when collecting materials is always friendly, efficient and well priced. Most common materials for day to day building and Construction are available in stock piles in the yard to collect for those quick jobs you need to undertake. G type materials for direct delivery for civil works, paving ect are available on request and in my opinion priced at extremely competitive rates. Direct delivery quantity is always on standard and short delivery of materials which has become an industry standard does not take place when ordering from Magnum. I have never experienced an under supply from bills of quantity. Deliveries are carried out as promised by the sales team on the day they commit to. What is great is that they will call you and inform you of any problems concerning your delivery, eg truck brake down or plant brake down etc. Drivers are extremely accommodating when asked to off load in a specific area. They are professional and well mannered, which is very rarely experienced in the industry. My advice to general builders and contractors is to discuss your needs and requirements with the sales team and if they are a few Rand out on pricing, don't just jump to another supplier, because you are getting what you paid for. 20m3 will be what they say it is. Most suppliers short load to supplement a lower delivery cost and rate. On a large civil job you will be out of pocket and lined up for a good drawn out fight, rather place your trust in Magnum and build a working relationship with a sales person. 10 out of 10 guys. Ethical, honest and hard working people is always a pleasure to deal with.

Purchased 6 cubic meters of topsoil from them. A month and a half later almost 50% of my grass has died, so whatever they sold me was definitely not topsoil. Morgan told me that the topsoil had a portion of compost in it which is clearly not true. The soil appears to be contaminated with something that makes the grass die. BEWARE...
