Pathetic. I have a tiny wild kitten that has been stuck in my roof for 2 days now, crying non stop. Phoned the afterhours emergency no and it does not work. Do we have anyone that actually cares about animals.
Highly angry as we adopted a puppy 2 week ago and they did no checks on the puppies health. Took the puppy to a vet and she had tick bite fever and cat flu. Bill is sitting around R8000. Adopted for the greater good and now spending alot more without having the enjoyment of having a puppy.
Brakpan SPCA is one of the best, very friendly office staff and professional.
I was told that Brakpan SPCA was helpful Definitely not Didn't answer their phone between 13.45 and 14:00. Message said open between 9:00 and 16:00!!! Can't even leave a message! I won't be wasting my time and phone money with them again
This morning I drove along the Heidelberg road past the Wattville squater camp and what I discovered shattered my hart to pieces.I spotted two beautifull dogs in the middle man right across the squatter camp,but the one dog sadly died most probably run over by a hartless driver while the dog alive lied next to the dog that died.It was literally taken care of the dog that died.I called the Brakpan SPCA immediately and spoken to a lady that told me that its not their area but she will immediately send someone out to the dogs to rescue the other dog and take care of the situation.Many Thanks to this lady that did not even waste a second to argue with me and promised me that she will send, out help immediately.That's the way the SPCA is suppose to react upon calls from the public,once again many thanks to the staff of the SPCA who is still willing to do what they are suppose to do working for the SPCA.If I was in the position to do so I would donate millions of rands into the SPCA because animals cant fight for themselves.Keep up the good work!!I dont think Squater Camps should be allowed to keep animals unless they have an enclosed yard for the safety of animals!!!
If I could give no stars I would. I called early in the morning on Friday to report a very graphic dead doggie on the side of the highway and they informed me that the pick up petrol do their rounds every morning and will pick up the doggie. That same doggie is lying on the side of the road. It's face showing towards the traffic making it very easy to see it's dead, very very sad, especially if children see it. No respect for animals. I called again this morning, really hope that they organize the pick up for this poor animal. If that dog is picked up today. I will remove this comment.
I made a call to Brakpan SPCA, I spoke to a very helpful Shawn, my heart was broken today, but he set my heart to rest. To think that you need to give your fur babies away because you don't have no other choice, he came and made my day a little better. Thank you
