How did you celebrate Chinese New Year? We went for our annual trek to the Nan Hua Temple to get our blessings and join in the festivities. It's become extremely popular and is attended by people from all walks of faith. So it does get super busy and sometimes difficult to walk between the stalls. Again my advice for next year, get their early and get a spot inside the temple. Make sure you have a cap or use sunscreen as it gets quite hot standing outside watching the Dragon and Lion Dances. Reminder the food stalls are all vegetarian. And just embrace the day as they have also started incorporating other cultural aspects to the days activities. #TheFoodMusketeer #TheFoodMusketeerCelebrates #chinesenewyear #NanHuaTemple

It's a magical place to visit. They propagate Buddhist teaching and humanistic Buddhism through cultural activities. There's a museum, curio shop, dining hall, coffee shop, a beautiful village, etc. It's a must to go.
The largest budhist temple in the Southern Hemisphere offers a spiritual retreat and ability to calm your mind from every day life. Go here to celebrate Chinese New Year where stalls open and lion and dragon dancing exhibitions are done. Great alternative family spiritual day out
Gorgeous, peaceful temple. Delicious vegetarian dumplings and noodles at the café!
