The First Ladies Exchange is an initiative that involves African First Ladies supporting Gender Equality and Development through a 2 day dialogue with Governments, City Leaders and Managers, Developmental Organizations, Universities, the private sector and leaders in the fashion and related industries. The vision of the First Ladies Exchange is to empower the lives of women and youth in Africa through the Fashion industry, seeking solutions to develop areas of productivity, employment, enterprise development and entrepreneurship and to encourage our Governments to get more involved in building a support ecosystem that is responsive to the dynamic changes that are leading Africa to becoming more industrialized and how those opportunities will benefit women and youth. We desire to have Africa's First Ladies as our Social Drivers in changing the direction of the fashion industry and creating a more viable, long term and sustainable industry that benefits women at grassroots level.
