Beware Visitors to Fish Hoek. Two bags of our clothing ruined! Shrinkage, rust stains, torn, and white shirts are now all blue grey. Worse, when we spoke to the manager, not a single apology or sentiment of regret! Only excuses that apparently " it is not common sense or the town's practice to separate whites from colours" and that "they should not be held accountable for ruining our clothes if we did not specify that we would like them separated". As for the explanation regarding the torn shirt: " well, this must have been an old shirt". In fact, it was brand new and had only been worn once. Floody's certainly is NOT the best little laundry in town and they do not take an ounce of care with your belongings, contrary to their identification notice. I totally understand why they would need to be indemnified. Sadly, very embarrassingly, as an ex-pat myself, the excuses and treatment of visitors to these beautiful shores are truly spoiled by this kind of badly handled service. A word of advice to Floody's: instead of misleading people, why not rather admit that unfortunately your business is not equipped to handle peoples' clothing with care and refer them elsewhere to have their laundry done professionally
Sadly, 4 bags of clothing returned with many of the items at least 2 sizes smaller than when we handed them in. Wont be using them again.
