Fantastic staff and professional lesson structures. Wonderful to see the owner and founder, Jacques, physically involved in the every day running of the business - definitely not just a name on the door. This is a wonderful way to add some balance to a busy lifestyle. I cannot imagine living a life where I don't have my weekly fix of JCDS. You walk out there feeling like a million bucks and believing that you can become the best dancer in the world. A family feel to the already fun environment makes this not only a dance school, but a great place to meet and build new friendships and connections - should you wish to. One on one lessons with qualified and experienced instructors makes for faster learning and confidence building. I give them 5 stars, only because I cannot give them 6 :)

Just have to write something on this website! If you are looking for a really fantastic FUN FUN FUN dance studio where you will be trained in all the beautiful social dance styles look no further. I am totally addicted to dance. Always have been. Jacques and his wonderful staff allow me to indulge this addiction to the full. They are professional, super friendly, encouraging, don't mind if you're slightly mad or pitch for your lesson surrounded by work-doom-and-gloom. You laugh (like a lot), you discover that left and right is NOT that simple (wink) and you get a great workout as a bonus. Do you have a passion for performing arts and showcase dancing? Then Jacques Carstens Dance Studio is the place to be. Whether you are a super competitive dancer or just simply love to challenge yourself in this art form, this studio presents you with the perfect platform : Star Dances, Exams, and the best ever Showcase Events plus fun social evenings where you can dance the night away. A happy safe environment to meet people that will become lifelong friends. A very big thank you to Jacques Carstens, Daniël le Roux, Janene Green, Danielle, Stephen and Erika and all the lovely people I have met at this studio: thanks to you I have not only grown as a dancer but also as a person. Where do i start? 14 August 2013 my life have been turned upside down for the better. When i walked in by Jacques Carstens Dance Studio i never expected to get what i got. The fun, love, care and Laughter you receive hits you right smack bang in the middle of your heart and you get a second family and home immediately. August i will be dancing at Jcds 6 years and it still feels like yesterday i started. There is never a dull moment. Not only are you receiving exercise, but the life lessons you learn is just simply amazing. From day one they have learned me to never say you can not do something because you are better then what you think and what you believe you can achieve is what you will achieve. Till today i am learning to believe in myself. i simply can not imagine my life without Jacques Carstens and his wonderfull staff. i walked in there not being able to even ''langarm' what to say of dancing Ballroom and Latin in front of a crowd but they made it possible. The Studio and staff are such an inspiration and every time i walk in there i feel home knowing i am at my second family. They people you get to meet, is just wow! To end of, yes i am seeing myself part of JACQUES CARSTENS DANCE STUDIO till i can move anymore.
