A nice, laid-back rustic, old fashioned coffee shop / deli with Praline Cheesecake! They also sell reasonably priced homeware and preserves. If you stay until after 5pm you'll start to get the hint that the staff want to go home early. Perhaps I'll come back though. Perhaps for breakfast. Perhaps tomorrow...

No Complaints here. Excellent Service with the best food you'll find anywhere. No matter what you're dietary requirements, Melissa's will have something for you. Their catering service is also world class. When they catered for our function, people actually asked who provided the food! Weddings, Functions, Seminars and Board meetings, Melissa's Tygervalley will not disappoint in price, quality and quantity - Guaranteed!!

Overpriced - had the creamy chicken and leek pie - dry and doughy. More rocket than anything else and R112....madness! Chocolate milkshake (R42 and it's not exactly big) advertised as made from real ice cream and chocolate, but tastes like water with ice particles throughout. Where was the chocolate? Will definitely not come back.

I love this place. Very cosy! Always a good option if you want to meet someone for coffee. Yes they have great food as well! Strongly recommend!

The service is pretty poor and horrendously slow and you also get the feeling they are doing you a favour because it wasn't even very busy. Fortunately the coffee was great and the food was very good when it eventually arrived. I wouldn't say it's too expensive for the portion or quality of the actual meal, but it's too expensive for the mediocre experience Good things take time, but then at least inform your clientele.

Had a lovely veggie soup with a big portion of rye bread that paired perfectly with the hot soup. Very relaxing atmosphere and friendly staff. The service is a bit slow so just make waive:)

Melissa’s never disappoints. Kid friendly, lots to see and buy. The food is good and the service is not spectacular but consistently with a friendly smile here and there.
