My daughter loves ballet thanks to a dedicated, loving and caring teacher. Erla has two young daughters and understands what they need and how to work with them. She builds self-esteem and they learn to love dancing. They are always fully prepared for exams and concerts and enjoy every moment of performing. I trust Erla and have always felt safe leaving my daughter in her hands.

What a special dance academy!!! They are like family. Their love for dancing are seen in all areas; the way they teach, communicate and how they run their dance academy. We've been with teacher Erla for 8 years. My daughter love her to bits. Erla is not just a teacher she is a role model. To do ballet was one of my life dreams. Erla was the one making this dream come true. Even though I didn't really have any experience she welcomed me and many other first timers. I just love the adult ballet. I did ballet when I was much younger and I never thought that I would dance again. Last year I decided to join the adult ballet class at SWDA and I have loved every minute. Erla is an amazing ballet teacher. She is patient, motivating, technical and fun! I would recommend the SWDA to anyone, whether you have previous ballet experience or not.
My eight year old daughter has been doing ballet at the academy for two years. She loves it! She even knows the names of some of the moves in French! The teachers are friendly and professional and make ballet fun.
Both my girls dance at Somerset West Dance academy and we are very happy with the standard of teaching as well as the way in which the teachers fascilitate the classes. It is a professional yet inviting and warm environment. Thank you Erla , lLiezel and team!
