Tidy and very peaceful environment to hang out. Not very ideal for the disabled though especially when the elevator is not working as was the case the last time I was there. There is also a steep flight of stairs going down to the toilets which just doesn't work with a crutch. Otherwise all else perfectly good.

Went to watch Spies in Disguise on New Year’s Day, 2020. Great fun. Place is clean and the toilets are decent. Service was without a hitch , and we enjoyed the whole experience. I just wish the popcorn and snacks didn’t require us to take out a loan in order to finance, but yeah, that’s Ster Kinekor everywhere.
Sadly, in the not too distant future, Ster Kinekor Cinemas and the movie house experience will be something that we will tell the next generation about. There were only 2 of us in the whole cinema on a Sunday afternoon. Both the toilet rooms were barred shut and before the movie started we had to first leave the cinema precinct to get to facilities far away. The snack bar was not even open at the time we went there. Clearly maintenance are also now not a priority anymore as they surely know that the end game is in play. The seats in the cinema were tattered and torn and worn out.
I was left feeling devastated and angry by the service. The website does not warn you that you must buy tickets online, when we arrived this was told to us. And when i tried to purchase online, they were offline and we missed the movie. I came from far away where we dont have movies and i was very dissappointed. Nothing was done by staff to try to rectify the situation. I was simply rejected when I asked to speak to a manager. I am super disappointed
....STER KINEKOR.....25oct18 .......Despite been in one of the older more established shopping malls in the northern suburbs Ster Kinekor Movie houses here at Tyger-Valley Shopping Mall still stands-out and exudes class! The corner where they are above the food-court is very neat and extremely clean and well keep! The ticket counter is manned by young enthusiastic staff who are pleasant, friend-lii and helpful! Even the ushering staff is cool! When you walk down the steps leading to the 10 movie-houses you are overwhelmed by the shin-ii bright white spotless-lii cleaned tiled floors and also the nice-lii decorated walls with all the latest movie-posters! The 2 Tuck-shops are also very clean and well stocked with all the required refreshments one would require to enjoy a relaxing time in the movies! The pricing is about the same as in all movie-house establishments for the same combos medium popcorn, cold-drink & a packet of chocolate treats R77.00. The seating in the cinemas are comfortable and clean even the ablution facilities are good clean and funkily painted! An establishment worth visiting for a few hour of pure relaxation........
The hand sanitizer they sprayed us with smelled like toilet water and when I took my disabled son to the toilet there was no water absolutely disgusting
Staff were not friendly at the snack kiosk otherwise awesome experience
Even during Covid, a lovely time as always
