Dr van Der Walt is a phenomenal pediatric neurologist and person. She has an amazing manner. I can't thank her enough for her support and she really cares about her patients and the parents. She explains everything in in a manner that is not only reassuring but makes sure you understand.

Dr Van der Walt came recommended and excited to find a solution, we waited a few months for our child's appointment. I was optimistic and could not wait. On arrival,she felt firm and knowledgeable. However 15 mins in ,she insisted that our child stays in to hear the full discussion on her condition and what we found difficult - which I found a bit too much for a child. She insisted that kids already knew about it and have to listen. I found her rigid and felt like she treated us like children(does not listen to client). Q&A time was interrupted when she rudely told us that her next client was already there and we have to leave. I sadly would not recommend her as I was hoping for a long term doctor-patient relationship
