Definitely far from mediocre! First time visiting Zapata and what a great experience! The food was spicy and FLAVOURFUL. Very friendly and attentive staff, not once did we feel like we were forgotten. To top it off the owner was friendly and its clear his passionate about making his customers happy . Thank you for the great meals and for presenting your food differently. Felt like a true Mexican experience:) something different and affordable Wish u all the best for the future. Will see you soon! Cosy restaurant in Harfield Village. Great chilli con carne and chicken Fajitas. Excellent nanchis. Yummy chips crispy outside and fluffy potatoes. Generous portions - I shared Fajitas with my hubby. Cocktails are superb, the Pinacolada is highly recommended. I had the Virgin. Very friendly service and all safety Covid regulations followed. Highly recommended especially if you enjoy Mexican food.

I’ve been coming to dine at Zapata for about 2-3 years, it has become my go to for a Mexican craving! Always guaranteed a lovely experience. Very intimate and the food is always divine. The owner and staff always try their utmost to ensure we have the best time. 10/10 would recommend. ️

What a fabulous find. Absolutely delicious, generous portions of traditional Mexican food.. some fun with frozen beer, churros and nachos to write home about. Great service and fun vibe... will def be back. NOTE that red chili garnish will blow you to Juniper

My bestfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed going to Zapata for the first time yesterday. The food was authentically Mexican, the portions were massive but more importantly great quality food. The staff are all very friendly and quite attentive and the overall vibe of the place was amazing! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will be coming back soon to try some new meals!

BEST MEXICAN FOOD EVER! Not the typical Mexican food you can find everywhere. They definitely put their own spin on it to cater for everyone. My favorite dish has to be the Mexican tortilla rolls, tortilla bake and the tacos. Definitely the best tacos in Cape Town. My new favorite place to eat and chill with friends.
