One of the best traffic department in Gauteng they are very fast. But if you don't drive, it's difficult to reach the place. But overall, those guys are professional.

Made the mistake of leaving work a little early, arrived at 15h00, sorry, doors were closed. The doors close around 14h10 so that they can finish off with the clients inside. The next day I arrived at 14h00, in time. Went there to transfer the vehicle from the financial institution on to my name and pay for the licence renewal as well. Yes, there was a queue, but only 5 deep, not to bad. A lady asked if she could assist, was a little uncertain - she had no name tag or such. Just as well, the financial institution sent the incorrect document, I had not bought the vehicle from them, only transfer of ownership. Would have thought they would have known better. Filled in the correct form, handed them in and processed in a jiffy, paid a small fortune, fortunately, they do take credit cards. Processed the trailer licence at the same time, two birds with one stone, great. Overall, quicker than I anticipated, place is a little rundown, could do with some decent signs and queue barriers. The original vehicle testing section (see attached photographs) is looking very derelict. Cannot believe that they cannot root out the corruption which occurred there.

Be aware that none of the eye test machines are working. You need to get a private eye test before you come and bring your own pen. There are no pens and the lady at reception and the security lady both rudely refused to lend me a pen. Luckily a friendly guy called Julesses lend me his pen and treated me well. The cashier also did her job well.

What can one say but another frustrating experience when it comes to any government related services. Confusing rains Supreme, misinformation and unfriendly service. The new system is meant to make life easier however its been a great learning experience. In all honesty this center is still one of the best. ️#lifeflow247

Best service at a Licensing department ever. Didn't even spend an hour, different Queues making it convenient and efficient

Even with an appointment (that took 3 weeks to make) you have to stand in the back of the queue, facing all the "system is slow" posters and wait more than an hour just to hand in documents. No detail on which queue for what. And bring your own pen.

I can only be complimentary, yes I had to wait in a queue for over 4 hours and yes they are obviously very short staffed, but this was to be expected. So made the most of the time by chatting to the other pensioners around me and ended up really enjoying my morning. The staff where pleasant and professional. I was so pleased I had chosen Centurion Licensing dept. As a pensioner, no need for booking, just walk-in on a Wednesday. Get there early, like 6am, take with you, water and maybe an energy bar, a fold up camp seat, if you have one and hopefully you will be as lucky as I was with the lovely, entertaining people Infront and behind you. Face it with a positive and upbeat attitude and you will see how much the whole perspective changes.

I was assisted by Mam' Beauty who was very kind and respectful. She allowed both me and my one-month old son to skip the queue and before us she assisted an older man (above the age of 60) with due care and respect. Before I went to the traffic department, I was nervous about my experience but I was pleasantly surprised.
