For a touch more than two years, I have been buying butter and cream from the Cullinan Premier Dairy. I sometimes also buy the Dairy’s cream from our local Spar. Now, here’s the thing: Not ONCE has the cream lasted even close to the BEST Before date – before turning completely sour. The quality of the cream varies in consistency from being as thin as water, to that of freshly dropped cow dung. It is normal for cream, in a container, to have some of the slightly thicker stuff floating to the top. Giving the container a slight shake, or stirring it, quickly mixes the cream. This was not the case with the cream which I bought on the 15th of this month (BB date 22nd). Not only did ALL of the cream have the old cow dung consistency, but it also had a distinct bitter taste. I shall never buy this product again, and DO NOT recommend that you do.
