Why did we not want to leave here today ?? Well let’s have a look into this charming old world venue. The Village tasting room was an exceptional experience. Arriving for the wine tasting with the place booked full we had the privilege to be seated at a beautiful table for two next to the zink building’s entrance. Our festival of taste sensations started with a Muscadel ( the name can only be used in South Africa ). After our first sip we sat back and our senses came alive with the background music that lends itself to a Mediterranean feel and it’s so relaxing. This is where you give your mind a deserved break. Danie then comes and explains how their wines are made, the meaning behind the labels and what goes into the preparation of these wines, gins and brandies. The lamb tajine prepared by a top chef JB, arrived with a Parmesan polenta and a crisp Turkish flat bread , our taste buds were tantalized by the subtle spices and flavors. What fascinated us was the wonderful history that went into the design of each label please ask about the Pirate story and how the noose ended up being on all the necks of the Red Muscadel bottles as seen in one of my pictures. The story of the pinotage named Shaggy Dog is heartfelt. A legend - please ask about this dog and how the label came to be named. Every bottle had a history with a story which makes it all the more charming. A must is the Tunisia cake with orange and lemon zest. Chef -JB Becker who has worked for some of the most prominent people around the world and been seen in top establishments prepares your bespoke meal with pride and love. Spoil yourself — get our there and enjoy the wine tasting experience and the warmth of the hosts. Oh btw - this is a wine tasting venue and it’s not the wine farm itself.

Very nice local Cullinan vibe and great wines, brandy, and rum. People are great and friendly. They offer much more than just tastings.

Awesome experience. Unique atmosphere and very good wine. Enjoyed the wine and food pairings. The Station Brandy and Station Gin distilled by Urban Winery is truly unique.

What a wonderful time! A good selection boutique wines, each range with a wonderful background story and tastes great too. The sommelier was brilliant, and made you feel totally at home while explaining the story behind each wine. Strongly suggest it for anyone in the area.
