What a lovely dinner we had. Friendly, helpful staff. Excellent service. Fantastic food. Would recommend this restaurant highly.

We visited on a Tuesday evening. Despite it being a week day, with cold windy conditions, there were a fair number of patrons in the warm comfortable interior of the resturant. The resturant also has an outdoor seating area. The menu caters for most tastes although this is a Portuguese style restaurant. We settled for the full chicken with half rice and half wedges. The food was served piping hot and was delicious. The service was attentive without being intrusive. The prices were fairly reasonable. Atascadero is a good, family oriented resturant, serving scrumptious food. We will definitely be back.

I only sat for a few alcohol free beers but family ate here and they said it's very nice. If the friendly staff and atmosphere is anything to go by, then I will believe that the food was good as well.

Usually a very enjoyable experience, but they adamantly refused to serve a half portion of sardines. The prawns were requested to be basted in piri piri sauce on the grill but this didn't happen. Instead we got a non basted grilled prawn. The food was okay, but not the Usual Atasca serving or standard. The service was attentive, prompt and really awesome.

I had chosen Atasca in Kensington, Durban North for dinner on the last night of 2018. I was highly impressed with the food selection, quality of food, presentation as well as friendly and informed service from the staff. Excellent vegetarian options as well and a fantastic dessert menu. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the Durban area.
