Used to be a safe and busy place at one stage.Sadly not anymore. Lots of monkeys originate from this little paradise.and are characters and a highlight seeing them. Unfortunately in the last few decades ,vagrants and thugs hide and attack visitors. The Ethekweni municipality need to have a group of permanent law enforcement staff here to keep visitors safe. The vagrants and thugs need to be booted out immediately . We have this reserve and it should be kept neat and well maintained so we may all enjoy it. Would not chance visiting unless proper law enforcement present.WAKE UP ETHEKWENI MUNICIPALITY and make this reserve safe again.

Great place. Hard to imagine that the city is so close. Went to on a hot day and it was pleasing to walk with all the trees around making it cool. Lovely viewpoint and picnic area at the end of the red trail. Do take caution as incidents have happened but security was beefed up on my last visit.
It looks well kept did not do any hiking as there have been too many muggings although they have security guards I will not take a chance the Joy's of the present South Africa
It was a great nature walk, the sounds of nature and the views from the top were awesome, loved every sweat that dropped from the walk.
A wonderful place to enjoy a picnic or Braai, lovely nature trail walk. The toilets are not the cleanest so plan appropriately lol. Huge trees for a lovely shaded picnic
Lovely place to get out of city
Burman Bush is a beautiful nature reserve. It is mainly forest and is well known for birdwatching. There should be a guard at the entrance and a group of guards patrolling available to ensure your safety from crooked vagrants.
Haven't been before due to security concerns. But felt secure with friendly security on duty. Went for some trail running practice. Trails are well kept and forest feels serene and takes you out of the city for a while. Would recommend a visit or a revisit if you haven't been for a while.
