It's not very easily found as there is no sign or location of this magnificent display. Once I found the building, I was very impressed as museums has numerous collection of insects, mammals and different species of birds. The animals are well preserve, interpreted, and various items of artistic displays are very impressive with information of each display. The technicians displayed sounds of animals which gives more clarity of the animal in real life. There is a small display of cultural & local artist. This scientific museum is a significance for the education of the public. Well done!

I spent 4 days the research centre to collect data for my MSc thesis. The ornithological collection was in good condition and it was easy to find what I was looking for. The curator and his assistant were both very nice and accommodating people who ensured my work proceeded smoothly.

Good display of wildlife of South Africa. Good commentary of the animals. But doesn’t show a map where their regions are located. Be sure to check out the bird exhibits.

Difficult to find the entrance and parking, also closed to the public unless you have a prior appointment.
