Liked Port Alfred alot. The setting was nice, the weather, perfect and the fishermen were happy with the spot with good results with their catches. It's a pity we only passed through. I will most definitely have to come back and experience Port Alfred over a longer period.

A great yacht club with a very protected Anchorage tied to balls stern and bow. Very friendly and helpful people. I rate three stars only because on yacht club standards it is small with few facilities. However there is a bar restaurant, showers and washing machine. There is one jetty with water and electricity.

We hired the club for our son's 21st. So very disappointed with the dirty and tatty table cloths, the dirty plates and cutlery I had to wash before I could serve my guests. I specifically asked if the bathrooms were clean before the manager left. She said they were. I had to clean up the toilet paper off the floors before my guests arrived. Nothing to dry your hands on in the bathrooms. Very poor selection of booze. Only box wine?? I had to wipe down counters where we served food. Full of dust and dead insects. What a pity because this could be an awesome spot on the river.

Beautiful surroundings, meals served or there is braai areas. Nice cozy bar and great atmosphere
