Formerly an asbestos mining town called Diepgezet, abandoned due to the ban on asbestos and subsequent closing of the mine. Now all but derelict. The town's name was changed to Msauli Village and an attempt is being made to restore it, but this attempt is likely to fail.

Visited recently, but all the buildings were vandalised. Roofs, doors etc removed. Lost it status as the must visit GHOST TOWN of Mpumalanga
