I've had hearing aid for roughly ten years now with the latest set being Unitron. My previous wax guard was R60 for 20 plugs which is reasonable. However with Unitron the cost is R100 for 8 plugs. I have a serious wax problem so I find this extra cost to be a nuisance.

I am frankly frustrated with my Unitron hearing aid. Firstly the app for the phone to enable Bluetooth almost never works! So one cannot adjust settings via Bluetooth to your hearing aid. Anorher massive frustration is because I am a musician, the darn hearing aid completely cuts out. I am a church musician that plays guitar. When it is only the guitar, the hearing aid is in its best ok, but when the people start singing, it seems like it totally gets confused then just either cut out my guitar, or dies all completely. This is hugely frustrating as I battle to know how to adjust my playing according to the people singing!! Most of the time I just yank the hearing aid out and get along with the little bit of hearing I still have in my one ear!
