Went to buy cycads which are very affordable R20 or R30. You pay for them at the reserve and go collect at the nursery down in Madumeleng about 5 km away.

Stunning to see these giants, but the road leading there is tough, and the reserve itself is not in the greatest maintained shape. Still - it’s a great experience.... highly recommended!

It’s a little bit run down, but it’s clean and the picnic areas are fine. The cycads are amazing and so worth a visit.

Beautiful reserve with amazing rain forest and stunning plant growth in the area. The accommodation is excellent and well priced. The walkways are a bit neglected in regards to maintenance.
