I purchased a desk from Outeniqua Traders. It arrived in Cape Town on the 11/09/2020. The drawers, most particularly the bottom one,were unacceptably skew. I sent an email and photos expressing my surprise that such a blatantly defective product had been sent to me and inquired as to what could be done to rectify the matter. The response offered a small discount or a refund. It was after I responded, accepting the refund, that things turned unpleasant. I received insulting and derogatory emails from the company... the result is that I still have the desk. My calls were hung up on and emails no longer get a response. I suggest that people should be very wary of online orders. Customer satisfaction is not a priority, it would seem.

We recently purchased a table and 8 chairs from them. The table is beautiful but the chairs were not of the quality we expected. The wood has ugly stains on it and the finish is not smooth in several places. My email received no response. I phoned them and Francis put the phone down in my ear. When I phoned again, I ended up putting the phone down because I couldn't listen to his rude, condescending and scoffing attitude any more. Will never buy from them again or recommend them to anyone.

Awards: Warrant not even one star. Why: After sales service........ NONE December 2019 I bought on-line Blackwood furniture which included a table and 4 chairs. After delivery in JHB I noticed that although the 4 chairs looked similar the legs of 2 chairs were not manufactured to the same thickness as the other 2 chairs (or they were from from 2 different sets ) I sent a number of emails and text messages including pictures to point out the poorly matching / manufactured set of chairs but to date have not received any response. I’m a very unhappy customer that did not receive value for the money I spent. WILL THIS REVIEW SPARK SOME ACTION ?
