My son Caleb has been with working with Warren for only 3 years now but he has learnt so much in such a short space of time. Caleb started drumming when he was just 4. I have watched him grow in his music. Warren has been so amazing, he truly brings out the best in Caleb's music ability and talent. It truly is amazing what the right teacher and mentor can bring out in a child. Warren has certainly done that with Caleb!! Thank You Warren

I started my drumming journey with Warren during the National lock down and even though these lessons were initially virtual, the lessons were tailored to make sure I easily and quickly learnt drumming foundations. Now that I’m able to attend lessons in studio, my progression has been unbelievable and each lesson is designed for my specific level of ability. I thoroughly enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the lessons and highly recommended Warren and the SA Drummer Academy to anyone who wants to learn how to play the drums, no matter what level of experience you have.
Warren VanWyk has been such an inspiration to my son, it is such a pleasure to see the big smile on both of their faces when I pick my boy up after his lesson. Warren is able to teach Luke any song that he has chosen, they listen to the song and then write the notation down so that he can practice at home, I even get a recorded video sent to me for the tricky fills or grooves. Luke never has to get dragged to lesson and loves every moment of it, he would go more often if he could.
Drum lessons with SA Drummer Academy very quickly became a highlight of my week! I started online lessons with Louis during lockdown and it was such a silver lining to a tough year. Louis is a brilliant teacher! I had never held a set of drum sticks before and after just a few online lessons I was already able to read drum notation and even start playing some songs. It’s a stress relief, it’s an excellent brain challenge, it’s hugely fun! The BEST!
