Food is delicious....4 star for the Grill bake and Portuguese steak. Place not up market. For food highly recommended..

This corner restaurant is medium and intimate. It is a good place for kids as they have a play area. I thoroughly enjoyed their seafood dishes, and their chips were crunchy, yet soft in the middle. The only disappointment is that they don’t seem to handle large crowds well. We waited an hour for our food, but were compensated for this long wait. Overall a good experience with dishes that are tasty, large and on the less expensive side of things!

Service was brilliant. Prices reasonable. Food was above par. Layout lacked imagination.

The food at Tony G's is of good quality, but the restaurant has many areas of lacking. The signage is non existent making it almost impossible to notice. The staff are not well trained and don't know the answers to questions about the menu. The decor needs a major upgrade, along with the menus which are left to get dusty on the tables. This is a great location, which could be a gold mine for the owners. Play some music, modernise your signage, menu style, decor. Ensure you have proper wine glasses. Have a sign with the name of the restaurant in lights where it can be visible from the street. Get decent cutlery! Have daily or at least weekly specials. This could be a great local spot, a fabulous eatery, it just needs tweaking!

Being a fan of Portuguese dishes, we really enjoyed the old school vibe here. We ended up ordering an array of starters . Cooked with a lot of love and flavour. Service was lacking a bit but that comes with the territory.

Good eatery however the food was lacking a little - there was no electricity so it was understood. Will try again though.... calamari was very expensive for a very small portion.

What a wonderful surprise. Drove past this obscure little shopping centre off Kloof Road, and noticed Tony G's Portuguese Restaurant sign quite high up on the building and decided to give it a try the next day. Unpretentious restaurant, attentative staff and reasonably priced. Quite the tastiest calamari I've had in a long time, and served piping hot. The grilled chicken was superb, and with a bowl of peri peri to spoon over the chicken, one can get the heat intensity set just right. An excellent dinner. Will be back, for sure.
