Breakfasts are fantastic, the accommodations are clean, airy and very comfortable. Loved the forest walk. This is a great getaway if you are looking for a place to recharge your battery or as a stop over.

I was remarkably impressed by the standards of the rooms. Breakfast was great too. The host were very gratious and most helpful. To top all of that, the landscape on which this establishment is just so beautiful, especially in late Spring when there is bright green growth on every living plant.

Drive an hour out of Durban, headed out to Nottingham Road, as campers, we like it easy . This here little gem, has 5 camp sites, each with its own wood fired hot tub. Endless hours spent in the hot tub looking up to the sky and trying to figure out the stars and Milkyway, and we had 2 perfect clear evenings to star gaze. Catching my first trout, was the best part of the trip. *This is a five sleeper, so you will have a family or two in campsite and this is a self catering campsite. A lovely venue, that also offers you other accommodations, if you are not into camping. endless views and very peaceful. The owners have paid attention to detail, even though it's a working farm, Kiwi Fruit & Nguni Cows add to the ambiance

We had a great stay at Gowan Valley Guest House. Top drawer. Beautiful setting on the river, Great breakfasts, and meals overlooking river, v well appointed cottages with v comfortable beds, linen, fluffy white towels. Can recommend Gowan Valley Guest farm to other guests.
