A beautiful historic stone fort built in 1799. It located on a hill with a spectacular view of lower city in Port Elizabeth. It is located at the corner of Fort Street. Open Monday - and Friday 08:30am - 15:30pm. It is closed on Saturdays. It also features a small playground for children and scattered benches.

Place was close and not open as per website, very disappointed in this, but what can you expect from EC. Pictures of outside of fort for those interested.

Nice to be able to show the kids. Great history and view still. Just a way too much rubbish lying around.

Big board that inform you that Fort will be open daily from 8h30 to 15h30. It was locked. Would love to see the inside.

Historic site with amazing view of the city. It is very interesting to see the bunkers and little rooms built so many years ago. A must see especially for the local Port Elizabethans. Our city is beautiful Gate closes at 430

This is a very nice place to have a chilled time with your family or friends. It has wide space for events also. With a historical monument, going back to the 1800s. It's a public area. Tourists always come over. They don't miss it.
