It is not a counseling service I expected. The lady was listening but was not offering professional advice on how to deal with my depression. I was just told what everyone else says. I thought they use professional psychologist or whatever but I guess not.

The councellor didn't give me any advice she was just listening to me and repeating what am saying for good 18 minutes. Network was bad from her side and I called again it went to another line and I had to start my story over.

For an organisation that is meant to be urgent in helping people, i do not understand why it is acceptable to tell someone that you will call them in 7-10 working days. It's no wonder mental health is decreasing rapidly in this country.

Just an response to Michelle's review, Please be aware that LifeLine is a FREE service, who try and assist as quickly as possible. their counsillors donate their time FREE of charge... one has to realise that they try and accomdate ppl in distress as quickly as possible. I have been fortunate enough to use this service alittle while back, and I know that they ask a lot of questions, but that is to ensure that u are assisted asap. If they gave u a time line of 5-7 days, u obviously are not readily available ... Please try and understand they are doing the best they can for the community by offering this free service

I am beyond disgusted with the service I received. I asked to speak to someone via WhatsApp call and a white young lady called, I was miserable with suicidal thoughts and needed to speak to someone, this girl kept giggling with someone in the background while I was crying and talking to her. 4 weeks down the line I'm a expecting a call for the face to face counselling and nothing! Nothing but unprofessionals
