This has become one of the few sites I look forward to seeing in my daily feed. I have been exposed to some excellent pieces submitted by noteworthy authors, from places I doubt I will ever have the chance to visit. Eye opening to cultures I could not have experienced otherwise. It has also allowed me a place to share my work with full acceptance. A home for myself and other writers of poetry.

I remember my first time checking out PMUP at 47 boxes in Melville! It was so fascinating how diverse the open mic talent was, while the event still kept its poetic atmosphere. It made it impossible for me to resist getting on the stage myself. The crew was so present and encouraging, it led to me frequenting a couple of times, almost didn’t feel right not attending. Today I am fascinated at how much it has grown and become so advance, you would swear it has always been a virtual show. I highly recommend checking out the poetry network on Facebook as well as the website if you are looking to grow as a word smith or simply learn something new.
