Had the platter for one this evening.. was nice enough.. I was hungry and had most of it.. now 5 hours later am in trouble.. off to the loo every 5 minutes.. waves of nausea.. not sure what I feel I ate was dodgy.. front and back demanding time on the pot.. all shall pass I'm sure.. should feel better soon... 2 April 2021..

First to appear were miniature biscuits with butter, freshly made. Accompanying that was a small plate with three-tiny-bowls of: mayonnaise, chopped garlic with a bit of liquid, and tiny-chopped jalapeno peppers. Relaxing at our table I noticed, the various blues used within our surroundings; painted-white-bricks with ocean-type-designs were stenciled on two of the walls. The casual tables were wooden, and one light-and-dark blue tile TABLE set at the main entrance. The wooden tables were covered in Ocean designs cloths. It was a MOST casual atmosphere with two video screes SHOWING soccer GAMES. OUR food arrived. 1. Med. VEGETABLE Bowl, which had roasted butternut squash, baby marrow, with halloumi cheese TOPPED with sliced olives. 2. Venus Mexe Platter containing: calamari, salmon bites, halloumi, potatoe rosti, cucumbers, tomatoes, tarama and tzatziki sauces with sliced olives. 3. OUR top up: STIR FRY veggies with: shredded cabbage and carrots, sliced red and green peppers, sliced green beans and onions. Ocean Basket has EXCELLENT VEGGIES... Everything is fresh, crisp, ... very filling and nutritious! ADDITIONALLY, they have MANY STAFF AVAILABLE to SERVE, PREPARE, and SPEND a brief time in friendly chat at the table-side with THEIR costumers. Exceptionally TASTY food and ALWAYS VERY CLEAN and COMFORTABLE ‼️️️ ‼️ It is refreshingly unrushed and PEACEFUL to step into this calming setting on one side of the FOOD court at O. R. Tambo Airport in Johannesburg SOUTH AFRICA ‼️ If you have not been THERE, please take your first opportunity to VISIT; you will be HAPPY you did. ️️‼️️

The service is great, very friendly servers, however the oysters I ordered were not fresh at all. I eat oysters very often and they had a stale or maybe they sat out for too long...Raw seafood can make a person very I'll if not refrigerated properly.

This is the second time eating here. Amazingly, feels as if you'd walked into a small Greek taverna. So no surprise owner is Greek. Lovely food to find in an airport. Especially after a long flight from Dublin, this time via Paris. Miss real food after an 18 hour deprivation. Good healthy options for drinks too, refreshing cranberry orange blossom served in mini carafe and with a paper straw. All good. Food deliciously filled a spot & staff excellent.

Lovely food as always! Love the sushi fusions you currently have... But your lemon butter is still my favorite!!!
