This is unlike any museum I have been to before, it is set up as a town with shops and businesses. Each shop (tobacconist, tailor, typewriter) is recreated down to the tiniest detail. An amazing experience and well worth a visit. And the best part is that, for out of town visitors, there is a guest house, right in the museum.

From the entrance of "The Big Hole" right to the very end the experience is thrilling and educating. It's unique environment and experience puts this place on the bucket list. History of South Africa from the start of its colonisation and how everything came to be what it is in this great County today. The big hole seen from a bridge with spectacular views, can only make one think of the enormous size and beauty that cannot be seen from images. The friendly people of Kimberly are ways at your service. Please note that this area is not big and does not offer much activity but this one attraction along with the few smaller ones makes it a must visit Town. Put this place on your Bucket list.
