On behalf of the Malmaison VLV ladies and attendees of the workshop, we held at Die Wortel, a very big word of thanks to you Suki. It was the perfect venue. The lapa is well looked after and situated in the most beautiful and tranquil spot. It made our creative juices flow and put a smile on our faces. The view onto the beautiful "koppie" filled with stunning indigenous fauna and flora is just spectacular.

Two days before the Kirkwood festival, we received this message from Suki: "Daar is baie mense op die kampterrein. Neem asb ander in ag… Maar met dit wil ek julle herhinder dat dit n fees is en mense kuier en raas. Asb bring oorpluisies saam as n geraas n probleem is vir jou! NO JOKES!" Little did we know that the owners will be the ones hosting very noisy parties in the camp lapa, which lasted until 2:30am on Saturday, and until 4:00am on Sunday, so needless to say, nobody could sleep and this spoiled the entire weekend. A handful of people had a party at the expense of everybody else. The owners should heed their own advice and take others into consideration. The sites were tiny and it feels like they tried to squeeze in as many people as possible. The shower facilities for the men are primitive and looks like an afterthought. We will never stay as Nieshoutkloof again, lesson learned.

Beautiful area, lovely surrounds with bokkies walking around between the tents, BUT... 1. Suki said that they were expecting 600 people for the weekend of the Kirkwood wildsfees. Yet only 4 showers (if you can call them showers) 4 loo's which were never cleaned for the men. The rest of the ablutions are makeshift long drops. At R155 per person for camping, I expected more, not much more but atleast decent ablution facilities. 2. The noise, we were going for the festival experience and were aware that the campers are going to "kuier" properly. But the entertainment till 4am blasting from the owner's lapa was not appreciated by us and a lot more other campers. 3. I had to "rescue" our neighbors tent after the serious wind the Monday early morning. The next day the owners arrived to their busted up tent. They then told me they had to find alternative accommodation as the gate to Nieshoutkloof was locked at 12am and they could not get in or get hold of the owner. If they just put in a bit more effort with the ablutions and late night manners, then they will get lots more positivity. We went to the wonderful Wildsfees, but we will remember the poor quality of the camp over the fun we had at the fees. Pity. My advice, spend a little LESS money and go to Sitrusoewer rivercamp.

Booked a site, paid deposit and a week later Suki wanted us to pay the balance, very insistent, very rude.....and or arrival date is only in 3months time! She then went on to make a Whatsapp group for my company, and carry on there! The first contact we ever had from her after an enquiry was simply "FYI" and an invoice! Then demanding full payment 3months in advance after a deposit was requested! I was disgusted, insulted and am furious!
