I was looking for a unique piece for my patio/dining area and feel blessed to have made contact with Johan from Knysna woodworkers. He immediately sent me pics of what he had in mind and I was sold. However, I did not expect the sheer beauty of what was delivered (Pic attached) - Johan surpassed all of my expectations in crafting a stunning, natural one-of-a-kind table that can only be described as a masterpiece. The entire process was a pleasure having to liaise with Gill who is a gem of a person. I have already ordered chairs for the table as only Johan would do justice to crafting chairs that would be as exquisite as the table. I cannot thank you guys enough. I ordered a door for my basement from Knysna Woodworkers. WOW! Is an understatement. (Pic included) What amazing work they did. Also, the communication throughout the process with all the challenges that Covid presented in 2020, was terrific. Absolutely brilliant craftsmanship. We spent months looking for the "perfect" Adirondack Chairs but no luck. We were then recommended to ask Knysna Woodworkers to make them. The service and craftsmanship was exceptional, Johan even made rough mock ups to ensure they were exactly what we wanted. We got the chairs today and as we expected they were perfect in every way. We seen Johan's work on a tour near Knysna on our tour of South Africa. We met him in his workshop and agreed that he will make a bespoke coffee table. His workmanship has been 2nd to none and Gill's customer service has been great. The coffee table looks great and Johan even made small boards from the leftover wood. Gill kept us informed throughout (we have been affected by lockdown restrictions on shipping) and when allowed, she kindly made all arrangements to ship the table to UK. The table looks great and it is a fantastic and unique momentum of our trip to South Africa!
We commissioned Johan to make up a unique dining table - he interpreted and added valuable input to our (sketchy) requirements superbly. We also asked for a specially shaped / tiered planter unit beside the front door - a superb result. Some of the in progress work seen in his workshop is just outstanding.
Absolutely delighted. The service and workmanship were 5 star. I had a custom box made and it was perfect in every respect. I will be using this company again.
Johan made us a beautiful 8-seater Ofram dining table with black powder-coated metal legs. We are very happy with the final product. He was also very helpful in helping us make our final decision over which wood to use. He is very knowledgeable and clearly an experienced craftsman.
