Situated in Ngwenya lodge, the views from the house are nothing short of spectacular. The house is well-equipped, serviced daily and the rooms are spacious enough. My only complaint is that the built in braai is too small for a large number of guests but there is a portable one provided as a back up.

Also, ich war 5 mal dort und jedesmal begeistert. Es handelt sich nämlich um eine der wenigen Stellen, wo man das Auto verlassen darf. Das erste Mal bin ich vor 8 Jahren darauf aufmerksam geworden. Ich kam mit meiner ersten Frau an die Hippo Pools und bemerkte etwas merkwürdiges: An einem Baum lehnte ein Fahrrad. Wir konnten uns das nicht erklären und ich bin näher rangefahren. Aus den umstehenden Büschen trat ein Mann. Es war ein Ranger "Daniel". Er bot uns direkt an das Fahrzeug zu verlassen und uns an schlafende Nilpferde sowie Buschmannzeichnungen in der Nähe zu führen. Gesagt - getan und es war ein einmaliges Erlebnis! Schade, dass ich das nie wieder erleben werde. , da ich nach einem geplatzten Hirnanneurysma und 7 Schlaganfällen inzwischen behindert bin. Aber, ich muss sagen, es war sehr toll und ich zehre immer noch von den Erinnerungen!
