Non a good experience. Clients are spoken to in a very condescending way.. There is no system. I was prepared to endure all of that because I was made to believe the meat is good quality of the meat is good. What a big disappointment. I bought mogodu. It was obviously very old. The spleen bits on the stomach was brown and slimy. The stink was like that of an animal left to rot on the street. I love mogodu, I don't mind the smell of mogodu when I'm cleaning it or when it cooks but this smell of the mogodu from this place was dusgustinly terrible. Im actually thinking of sending in the health inspectors to check that meat. It cannot possibly be fit for human consumption. No I'm not disappointed, I'm disgusted!

We bought tripe yesterday (24 September) to make a Heritage Day meal for a few friends we were having over for dinner. When opened the tripe had a smell (which is usual for tripe). Washed it over 5 times and by the time I was done I noticed all the inners (intestines) had been cut out, they just put inedible fat in the box, and there were lies ALL OVER the house from the smell. Chopped some onions ad added some vinegar to mask the tripe smell( I always do that and never have a fly problem). After about an hour of boiling. All three of us in the house started feeling dizzy (didn't know at the time it was from the smell). After two hours we were still feeling the same way, flies all over the house. Tested to see if meat was getting tender and it wasn't, could tell the meat was rotten!! Cut a tiny piece at the end and it really was rotten. Not only were we and our guests disappointed, we lost money, wasted time and water washing rotten meat not to mention the electricity to boil rotten meat for three hours. And now we've been struck with flies all over the house. Most of them are dead thanks to insect spray but there are still some flying around. First time buying from this butchery and you'll never have me or anyone I know going there again.

I feel sorry for the owner of this butchery.. Why 1.He put a manager to take care of business while he is not there but guess who is running the show there in front of a corrupt manager.. The guys wearing red overalls. 2.for you to get good service I mean fresh meat you have to pay a bribe on top of the marked price .. Those guys expect a tip as if it's a must if you dnt tip them the next time you come you will have to berg for service and if you are lucky to be served you will be given last grade frozen stuff. 3.i witnessed with my own eyes an old lady I am sure here hand was twisted into doing such an un earthly discusting practice.she gave one the of the man in red overall R50 as a bribe. I asked her why she said she wanted meaty bones if you did not pay those men a bribe you get clean bones so that's how it is . 3.I confronted the man manning the till and told him about what I witnessed he told me point black that that's how it is.. I asked for the number of the owner he refused.. 4.If the owner of this business is serious about his establishment he can investigate this matter and he will find out the truth.. 5.If there was an email account for this Butcher I would have emailed this complain.. That place is rotten and discusting I am even going to let the consumer counsel know how this establishment is operated..

Believe it or not they have top A grade lamb at reasonable prices. My family love chops and with the price of chops at the regular butcher it is worth trying it out. The meat is tasty and soft.
