Alta and staff are fantastic! They made us feel right at home and takes good care of my fur baby. The puppy training is a must and a great way to bond with your fur baby!

The reception is inside the grooming parlour, so I could barely speak to the receptionist/owner about my dog’s grooming needs because I couldn’t hear or speak above the noise of the vacuum cleaners and the rest of the things going on around me. Later, when I came to fetch my dog, I was barely greeted or even smiled at by anyone. I just paid for the service and stumbled over all the equipment to fetch my baby myself, because no one seemed to know what was going on. Worst of all, my miniature schnauzer puppy came back to me with chunks of fur taken out all over and an extremely uneven cut - especially around his face. His beard was cut skew and chunks of fur were clipped out of his snout and in between his eyebrows. Also, his underbelly fur was shaved almost clean off (I simply asked that they didn’t cut skirting, not that they shave him clean), which makes me worry about whether or not they nicked him - he’s licking and scratching himself all over ever since I got him back. And he absolutely does not have ticks, fleas or other parasites because he recently received bravecto and is up to date with all his deworming and vaccinations - so that is not the reason for his scratching and licking. He is not normally a nervous dog, in any sense of the word. He’s always happy and playful, he loves other people, and he’s generally obedient if you use the correct tone of voice. But his emotional state when I got him back was completely out of character. He cried and scratched and was obviously not a happy pup. I don’t normally give bad reviews or complain, but this was just absolutely appalling.
