Only 7.6 km away from 3onElizabeth is the Dynamite Distillery and brewery. What a lovely place to go for a craft gin or beer tasting and a bite to eat.

Sat at he coffee shop for 20 minutes. Not 1 of the ONLY 3 waiters acknowledged our presence. Eventually I walked to the kitchen. Placed my order with the Barista who was totally overwhelmed. He took our order said he will send a waiter for food, I said we have not even received a menu. He can't cope with 1 machine and all the people. After a while we just left. Sad it's so pretty there.....
Saw the sign (no, not the song/lyrics), The Dynamite Distilling Co. Needless to say, immediately intrigued, discovered them on the Facebook link, called up Jan and asked if I could pop in. Found Jan extremely passionate about his craft, distilling. At the moment, Craft Gin. Experimenting away with various temperatures an blends, cuts, splices etc., mostly lost on me. Offered a tasting, but sadly had to decline, imbibing during work ours is a strict No No (another lyric comes to mind). Jan requested that the missus and I try a sample and submit some feedback. Being a gentleman, how could I refuse. While still busy setting ip shop, working on a unique recipe, all I can say is, “watch this space!”. For those interested in Craft Gin and work in progress, highly recommend making an appointment for a visit. 2018/06 - Well, what I really enjoy seeing is how a fledgeling company starts to grow. Popped round for a follow-up visit and was astounded by the improvements. Limited volume available, but you have a choice of Dry, Chilli or Floral. Bought the Floral, will give it a go. The tasting room is coming on very well, reckon in a few months they will be spreading their wings. Watch this space.
