An absolutely amazing bush camp, rock pools, amazing views, & private. Everything you could want and more! We can't wait to go back

Beautiful little corner in the mountains. Very quiet and very private. We camped along the river between some rocks. Nice rock pools to swim in and some beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Would call this wild camping if it was not for the luxury bush bathroom. Highly recommended for those wanting to get away from it all and relax for a couple of days.

This Bush Camp is simply one of the most scenic and peaceful places I have visited. We accessed the road with our 4x2 1997 Motorhome and although it was doable - we were on the edge! But it was worth it. There is no WIFI or cell reception and no shower facility. What there is makes up for this. * One of the best spotlessly clean flushing bush toilets set in a quirky wooden shed * Plenty of rock pools to swim in. * Plenty of hikes into the mountain * Great birdlife * Signs of wildlife - although we never saw any. * Ever changing vistas as the sun moves across the sky. * Nighttime stars only found in the Karoo In the evening the owners have set up solar lights that light up one of the pools, the toilet, as well as the small ruins - the atmosphere is amazing. If you are looking for a conventional camping place - this is not for you, if you have a desire to get away from it all and just be....... then visit this great place!

What a special place! I wish I could give them 6 stars. We are so grateful that we stumbled upon this campsite. Remote, quiet, beautiful. No electricity, and I really hope that the keep it that way. They have however put up a Wifi tower, which is great add on. We visited in March (dry season) in some of the driest times in SA history, and we were very pleasantly surprised by flowing water and pools. Crystal clear delicious water, we were drinking straight out of the pools. We walked down stream for 1.2km and were still discovering pools all along the way. Owners Adrian and Veronica had only been on the farm for a month, and we were their first guests. I cannot wait to see what they turn it into, after what they have accomplished in such a short time. They are also really nice people! Friendly, interesting and without a doubt an adventurous couple! I wish them all the success with their new venture. 4x4 is definitely recommended to get there. I'm not much of a climber, but it looks like the ideal place for climbing and bouldering! I will continue going back to this little piece of heaven for many years to come!

Absolute outstanding experience - places like this are hidden gems, no commercialism, just mountains, streams, rockpools and back to nature. A landscape photographers paradise. We were reluctant to return to the city! Access requires at minimum a vehicle with high clearance, good suspension and a driver with some off road experience, If you towing a camping trailer a 4x2with difflock or 4x4 would be essential. In my wife's post you will see that we went with our mitsubishi l300 motorhome , it needs to be noted that we have upgraded our suspension, tires and bushes in order to access this type of location (we used to own a landrover discovery 2 - hence we still gravitate to locations we used to acces with that vehicle, admittedly sometimes pushing boundaries, but it is always worth it.)

Amazing outdoors with alot to see, we hiked up a mountain right next to us and came across some snow. Great get away spot for friends and family.
