The only star here is for the friendly and helpful staff! I have never used this virgin before but it’s dismal. Ancient equipment, poor layout. Just really old! Poor people paying top dollar for this site is not ok!

Not the best looking VA and not in the nicest of areas. But this gym has all that you would need. It's got more squat racks and machines than cascades does. And it doesn't seem to be as busy as cascades. They close at 9pm which is just too early. It's in Victoria centre- you can pop by pnp after your workout if you need to do groceries for instance.
The staff are friendly and always greet you with a mask-covered smile. There is a wide variety of exercise equipment available including lots of treadmills, bikes and free weights. Everything is well spaced for social distancing and Covid protocols are followed. They have designated cleaners that ensure that all the equipment is sanitized at all times. By far one of the best gyms in Pietermaritzburg!

Absolutely no control measure put in to place. As a "professional" franchise it really disgusting to see how the controls are handled and implemented. It is non existent. People walking around with no masks??, drinking from the water fountain?. Yes its all well and good to have signs and control measures at the door but once you in the gym, are the rules just not enforced anymore?. How does it work? . What makes it worse is that there are floor personal but also do not look like they care about any rules.
