Spend a few minutes in this wonderful hide and easily spot 10 bird species together.

A great bird hide in the middle of Rietvlei Nature Reserve, unfortunately at the moment the reeds are very high in front of the hide and it obscures the view of the river, still a good place to stop and bird along the walkway, always a place to find a few birds, looking out for Grassbird. Nice to see management supplying hand sanitizer at the hide

Nice and quiet. Just overall pretty and close to nature.

Take out your cooler and relax while waiting for a shot when when quiet. Toilet facilities on hand. Look around before entering the hide as well.

Rietvlei is my playground and I absolutely love going there. Finfoot is a newish hide overlooking the vlei. If you are a bird watcher and very patient, sit there for a while and just appreciate the nature sounds.
