What an awesome experience. The museum is starting to show signs of wear and tear, but still gives you a clear picture of the kind of opulent lifestyles people lived back then. The massive tree in the front yard was a surprising bonus.

A very nice house. Totally worth the visit. Allocate 1-2hours for the trip(there's a lot to see). The garden outside the house is also pretty note worthy.

Awesome place. We'll preserved and an absolute showcase of history in the early 1900. Architecture wonder that showcase ability regarding architecture and ablution. Fascinated at the facilities. The preserved furniture of the time absolutely fascinating. The venue was well preserved and maintained. Historically a marvel to see the table where the treaty of Vereeniging was signed. Incredible to read who was present around a table where treaty was signed

Place is clean, no pictures may be taken. There is no spoke person to discuss the history no brochure. Each room has a chain in front so you can only look from a distance.

A real time machine that transports you into yesteryear...beautiful and well maintained. A must see for everyone, from history nuts to the average person who enjoys being immersed in something from a grandiose time gone by. And if you're somebody who loves the air of a place that could be haunted, this is the place to see...from the gigantic tree with its exposed roots in the yard to the creepy attic...you will not be disappointed. A true gem hidden in the middle of the city and the secure parking and friendly staff are the cherry on the top!
