The scones tasted like muffins and the cappuccino was less than average. However, the owner and wiatress were very friendly and the huge selection of arty crafts was fun.

Paddavlei is a small restaurant and tourist shop, with plenty of art paintings. The shop has a wide selection of paintings, mostly colorful and peaceful, as well as some home decor pieces. The building's small space has been used very effectively, and feels homely and comfortable. The restaurant has two seating areas, both are outdoors, with one better covered in case of rain than the other. I was impressed by the many options on the menu. My Nutella hot chocolate sounded promising, but I couldn't taste the Nutella: as a hot chocolate it wasn't particularly enjoyable. There was only one waitress, who got our multiple orders wrong. I would recommend the Ox Tail, but my family found our food over-salted. The coffee was great, which is the only positive I can find about the place.
Situated in Riversdale. A nice place to relax, browse threw interesting local made goodies. Very interesting. Worthwhile visiting.

A restaurant with a difference. Owner managed always translates to better service. Enjoy all the artwork and crafts. Talent in so many art forms. Sit on a stoep in the cool breeze and enjoy your meal or tea treat. A must visit in Riversdale is Paddavlei.
If you are a art lover. You will enjoy this place. Lots of interesting staff. Somewhere where you can come and distress from a busy morning.
