Had a wonderful experience taking my partner's hedgehog for mite removal. The staff were pleasant, calming and explained everything in a manner that was easy to understand. They handle covid precautions really well, however due to the precautions in place there was quite a line outside and it was a bit of a wait before we saw the vet. But overall a wonderful experience And we will be bringing our hedgehog back.

Incredible vets! I highly recommend if you have any exotic animal, truly specialists in what they do. They were highly attentive with my bird and I wouldn’t trust another vet. I love how professional they are. I received constant updates on my pet. Thank you for all that you do

All I can say is WOW. I run a private wildlife care center in the Karoo. On 17 January a badly injured tortoise was handed in to us. He was run over by a truck, he’s shell was badly cracked and he was nearly split in half. We used duck tape to keep the pieces of shell together. We gave him salt baths and put honey in he’s open wounds to help with the infection. I immediately set about finding him help. I phoned everywhere and send out dozens of pics in the hope someone will be able to repair he’s shell. After nearly 2 months on 3 March I phoned Bryanston avian vet. Finally I got the answer I was looking for. “Yes we will look at him and try to help” Dr. Jean Davidson even emailed me a letter, allowing me to transport the tortoise from the Karoo to Johannesburg. 14 March I arrived in JHB with the tortoise we’ve come to called Skillie. I took him in on the 15th. The staff and Doctors were amazing. I was explained in detail about he’s injury and how they where planning to go about repairing the damage to he’s shell. I collected Skillie on the 18th with a beautiful newly repaired shell and a brand new lease on life. Thank you so much to all the Doctors and everyone that had a hard in looking after and helping Skillie. I won’t hesitate for a minute to drive the 900km to bring injured animals to the wonderful and caring doctor and staff at Bryanston avian vet.

They efficiently helped us all by taking our pets from us and returning them, thus making me feel safe from Covid-19 contamination

Would send my pets there again any time. The vets there are honestly the best (people and professionals). Caring, understanding and straight forward. No other place I would recommend.

I took my gravely ill Amazon parrot to be treated here. Dr Melissa was the vet I dealt with. I simply cannot rave enough, say enough good things, or heap enough praise on this practice. They were remarkable with Paco. After several days stay I don't think she wanted to come home. The love, commitment and warmth of the staff at Bryanston Avian and Exotic vets goes beyond words. They kept me in the loop daily regarding her progress via videos on messenger. And needless to say Paco is 100% healed. Wonderful experience!
