Melvin Challens

A great place to get outdoors after a long week at work. Take a jog on the short hiking trail to burn off some steam. The view at the top of the hill is spectacular. You could also just relax in the park area if you like.

This was my first visit. It is safe, secure, beautifully maintained. The 2.5 km circular walk was easily do-able - there are some rough spots but the path is mostly smooth. The bush is lovely, as are the views. All free.

FREE ENTRY!!! If all you wanna do is walk, then it will take about 30 minutes to complete the trail. If, like me, you enjoy watching the birds amd identifying as many as you can, then you could easily spend 5 hours just wandering about and exploring all the nooks and crannies. There's also a chance you could see some small antelope.

Went on a hike with my family members. It was so beautiful and we even got to see a few animals The trail is short and has amazing views from the top. This was so pretty

Very nice hiking trail but don't expect to see much wildlife besides Hadida and other birds. Maybe just went at rhe wrong time but felt a bit dissapointed. Beautiful views though.

Short 2 km hike. Suitable for kids. Great views at the top. Very clean and well keeps. Worth a morning outing.

Short (2 km), refreshing, free, reasonably easy walk with some good views of Johannesburg. No litter, have seen small deer both times that I have visited.
