I've been trying not to write this review for months, but finally decided I need to warn future clients, so here it is: I went to Style for Hair Paarl 3 times (it was highly recommended), and in those 3 times they burnt off about half the thickness of my hair. What used to be thick hair down to mid back, is now so thin (burnt off at roots) with large noticeable patches where the outgrowth shows burnt ends. The outgrowth that didn't burn off is like straw. I've been too scared to go to another hairdresser in 6 months because I now realise what can happen if they overlap the peroxide, or leave it on for too long (both of these happened). I am a performer and my hair is my business, so I am in process of ordering a human hair wig to perform confidently in. I spent a whole day crying when I realised the true damage done to my hair after my last visit. The worst is that when I went for an initial consultation I was made to feel so confident, they even said my previous hairdresser made the blonde too white and it damages the hair like this (which they then did). If I had read a review like this before I went I could have avoided having to grow my hair out for the next 5 years. I'm really sorry I had to write this review, I'm not trying to be nasty, I am letting everyone know what happened to me. Mistakes are always forgivable but this happened to me 3 times in a row with 2 different people working on my hair. I didn't realise the damage it was causing so I kept returning. From a very, very unhappy customer. :(
