Let me start by saying just go to Tanda Tula. Don't even think of going anywhere else. We have just spent 3 nights there on our first ever safari. And we want to return already. The holiday was perfect right from the airport pick up. In terms of the safari, we had 2 game drives each day. The first at 5.30am (after being woken with a coffee and tea tray at 5am), and then an afternoon drive at 4pm after cake and tea. The bush breakfast served on the drive river bed was out of this world. Hot and cold options to satisfy even the largest appetites. Served with sparkling wine. What better was to start the day. Special mention has to go to the food. All of it, and there is a lot, is excellent. Top restaurant quality. I need to go on a diet. And as it is an all inclusive experience you can sample as much of the great South African wines as you wish. There are only 12 luxury tents so everything always feels small and family like. Friendships are quickly forged. The tents are amazing. One of the comfiest beds I've ever slept in. An outdoor shower. And a decked area overlooking the river bed to enjoy your afternoon gin and tonics. The staff at Tanda Tula are amazing and I could say great things about all of them. But special mention to Scotch and Patrick, our guide and tracker, who made us laugh, smile, and taught us all about the wide array of animals we saw over the 6 games drives. Who, who sees 3 leopards with kills up trees in one afternoon? We can't wait to get back!

I really don’t know where to begin when talking about Tanda Tula. When I’m asked about our time here, I always say it was magical as it’s so hard to describe the experience we had there. My fiancé (now husband) and I invited friends and family to join us at this safari camp for three days of game drives and our wedding. The journey from working with Viv and Brittany on booking and pre-planning to working with Chef Ryan on meals and our departure from the lodge was seamless and unforgettable. We never had to think about or do anything as the team was always 50 steps ahead and ensured our every need was taken care of. Our wedding was everything we wanted and more. I mean, a safari wedding is already a unique idea but hosting it with the Tanda Tula team made it even more special. They definitely delivered on our vision and made wonderful suggestions that enhanced our special day. Our friends and family are still talking about this trip and those that didn’t attend are now wishing they did. My husband and I have visited other camps before but none of them compare to this safari camp and the wonderful Tanda Tula team. This truly was a trip of a lifetime.

One of the most amazing safari options out there. Food quality and quantity is amazing but the standard has dropped slightly. Waiting for Rian (head chef) to get back from his off days . The game viewing has never failed me here. Every single visit I've seen lions and leopards multiple times, most visits - wild dogs and the only scarcity is cheetah in this region, when it comes to the big cats. Staff are friendly, management staff is hands on, regularly visible, involved and super friendly. You're a guest but you're made to feel like family specially when you go as often as I do. They always do something special and go above and beyond to please. The guides are fantastic. Loads of knowledge about the bush and very enthusiastic about their work. Passionate

My wife and I spent 4 nights at Tanda Tula in January 2020 as part of our honeymoon. We chose Tanda Tula due to its location, its small size and the canvas treehouse cabins. The morning and evening safaris were fantastic, our guide (Chad) and tracker (Jack) were exceptionally knowledgeable. We were blown away by the variety of wildlife and wildlife behaviour. We also tracked rhino on foot which was very memorable. The location itself is incredible, you truly feel cut off from the real world. From our treehouse we could see baboon chasing impala in the distance. The pool overlooks a watering hole where elephant once came to drink during our stay. You won't regret booking your safari here. The team really looked after us.

The staff and service are of the highest-ranking I have experienced. We couldn't have asked for a better celebration of our wedding anniversary. They really made it super special for us. Highly recommended!

We spent a portion of our Honeymoon in Tanda Tula. I couldn’t say enough about this camp. The accommodations are beautiful and the staff is wonderful. The food is indescribable; I have never had a 3 course meal where I cleaned ALL my plates until I came here. The owners, Don and Nina, are amazing people with a beautiful family. We were lucky enough to spend time with them and hear all of their stories. They are so knowledgeable as are the rangers and guides. We loved working with Antony our ranger. We had a spectacular time and I barely found any bugs in my tent!! Which is always a plus in the bush

Fabulous place. Stayed in a tented room. Had to keep the zippered insect net closed to keep the monkeys out. Staff make you feel like family. The BEST! Guide was Luke street. Delightful man and very keen to please. Gave great suggestions for good photos. Would DEFINITELY go there again.
