Nice outdoor experience. Friendly staff. Lots of fun, first pick strawberries, eat strawberries while picking, than enjoy a cup of coffee with strawberry chesecake or humongous waffle with strawberries and ice cream. Great for a family outing. Strawberries 100% organic. Recommend to go early, if you pick strawberries. They open Saturday and Sunday from 8 to 16:00 hours.

We were booked in a guesthouse in the area and was looking for a place to have lunch. Our first choice was closed and then we chanced upon this place with a board that says "Strawberry Picking - Closed, Restaurant - Open, Shop - Open." So we decided to have a look and drove into the place. After we parked our car and walked to reception, a lady came out and greeted us with, "Yes, what it is that you need?" And it was not in a very accommodating voice. She did not even greet us with a good day or good morning. We just brushed it off. I tried to make some small talk in an effort to change the mood. The menu was not enticing - maybe because we already started off on the wrong foot. In any case, we decided to get some stuff from the shop. I asked if they accepted cards. The lady answered, "If there is signal." Again in a very condescending tone. We left after paying. We barely left the front yard, and she closed the door on us. It was such a disappointment as I have heard good reviews about this place. Maybe only when the strawberries are ripe?

R100 entrance per adult allows you to visit the farm (we weren't allowed to take any strawberries home with us last Saturday unfortunately). You get to run around the strawberry fields searching for organic strawberries (and praying the bugs haven't spotted them before you do lol). I guess it was an experience but not something I'd come back to do again... It feels a little too pricey for what they offer but I understand they need to keep the farm running. I would recommend going in October or early November for a nice hand-harvesting of strawberries.

Organic juicy strawberries wherein you have to pick them and eat as much as you can. There is picnic areas so dont forget to bring a blanket and rest in a tree shade. Besides you will find mulberries trees which are probably sweeter than strawberries. You can have strawberries for your home which costs you 85 Rands a kg. In short, it is a fun filled activity that can keep you ams your kids engage for 2-3 hours. They open at 8.00

The word "Strawberry Farm" implies that one could go there and pick your own strawberries. A fact the website confirms, I believe. You would be very disappointed to find then that you're met with a "oh sorry, we don't really have strawberries left but you can still go and see what you can find". Logic, common sense and common decency to your paying public would dictate that a friendly public service announcement saying the strawberry fields are empty would suffice. Nope. Nothing. "Come pick your strawberries" they say. "Have a fun time with family" they utter...only to be met with the crushing disappointment of a field that's full of leaves and dust. 1/10 - would not recommend. If you're going for a picnic though - that's not bad. Venue looks pretty decent and the food was good. But then re-brand as Tangaroa Picnic venue and sell the "Strawberry" field to someone else who would actually grow strawberries and tell people when they can no longer pick.

Best place to slow down. Rustic spa has most amazing massage treatments and the strawberry cheesecake and waffles are a MUST!
