The Shed can be a little chilly during the winter months but the warmth of the hospitality makes up for it. Situated a stone's through from the centre of town its close enough to the shops and also close enough to the main hiking trails its one of the best places to camp in the berg.
Great place to stay - a perfect combination of outdoor living & convenience! The layout of The Shed is a brilliant concept for accommodation, with the option to camp or stay in a hostel-style room at excellent rates (comparatively). Full use of communal kitchen, bathrooms and braai deck area. All amenities are provided - fridge, storage space, oven & stove, numerous braais, undercover fireplace, dining table... the list goes on! Our hosts were super welcoming and willing to help, yet unobtrusive. Avoid the pool table for the sake of your own sanity haha! Pack a picnic & head down to the river for the afternoon instead.
Beautiful view. Campsites have electricity and bathrooms are clean and neat. We had a great stay.
