If you want to dive Aliwal Shoal these are the guys to do it with. Great team and great resort. The room is basic but hey you just need a bed to sleep after a great day of diving. Good service and friendly staff at the bar/restaurant and really good food too. As for the dive crew, Rae as DM & Frikkie as skipper were great. I'll be back

Incredible service and the team is amazing - they take great care of you and make sure everyone has a great dive experience whether diving for fun or doing PADI courses. Full gear available for hire which is great for travellers. Lovely hot showers after dives, great pizza and vibe.

Whether you’re looking for a couple of hours out of the house for a beer (and the best pizza EVER) , a meal with the family (if you love seafood then you HAVE to try the prawns - come hungry!!!) or if you’re up for a weekend (or a week) of diving the most awesome reefs and one of the top rated dive sites - Aliwal Shoal - this is the place to be! The rooms are simple yet comfortable and the Aircons are awesomely cold!! Perfect after a day in the sun! The diving ranges from Discover Scuba dives (see what this world of diving is all about) to the advanced technical and rebreather dives ... you get to explore reefs, wrecks and dive with sharks - what a choice! The team at Blue Ocean make you feel welcome. You come as clients and leave as family. Living up to their motto “dive with us, eat with us, drink with us, stay with us” this really is an all in one destination” ... and the newly renovated dive centre and pool area are a real spoil to be around... In Umkomaas Kzn you'll find this little gem of a place, Blue ocean is a playing ground for diver of various skill levels. From open water to tech diving, there is so much to learn from these guys and gals. The staff and DM's treat you like family, and cater to every guest's needs. Delicious pizza, cold beer, amazing people and some of the best diving you will ever find. I will forsure keep visiting Blue Ocean and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys the ocean and all it's glory.

We went snorkeling this morning - great fun, very friendly, efficient staff. Overall great experience / service. Ps remember to drink / take with motion sickness tablets if you aren't used to the ocean, and sunscreen even early in the day.
