For more than forty years the vets loved and cared for my beloved cats. They are the best. I salute them. They are my heroes.

Routinely the hospital reminded us of our 3 cat's and 2 dog's renewal of immunization and routine check. As in the past my wife arrived with two of our cats today during their advertised operational hours only to be told that she cannot just arrive during consultation hour but she should have made an appointment first. Although she offered to wait the strict answer was "no", while holding two very frightened cats at bay. Well, your reminder should include that one needs an appointment to arrive during consultation hours, it would have saved two trips with two terrified cats. Very disappointed by this "monopoly" unfriendly performance.

We took our Golden Retriever as he had an ear infection - after we collected him he seemed worse - shaking his head and constantly rubbing it. It got worse and there was blood in his ear - we had our suspicions that the ear drum was damaged but the Dr at a different VET who examined him - was too polite to comment on it but said his ear was bad. His ear have never been the same since. This was not the first time we were disappointed in this vet - on a previous visit my Sphynx cat was booked in - I asked to put his blanket in his cage - I was assured this was not necessary as there were blankets in the cage and the room was set to a comfortable temperature. When I collected my Sphynx the blanket was tight under the sandbox liker a carpet and he could not wrap himself in it - he looked miserable and cold. Needles to say he picked up a cold which made his condition worse. I took him to another vet to treat. It seems to me that Money is more important to these Vets than the welfare of our babies!

A single star might seem harsh, but we nearly lost a beloved pet because of this hospital. We have two cats, which have each been tested negative for feline AIDS three times. When one eventually got pancreatitis, several of their blood tests did not shed any light on the situation. We finally went to leliefontein for a second opinion. Within 10 minutes, the vet knew exactly what was wrong with our cat, diagnosed his AIDS and the pancreatitis - both of which the other vet did not catch. A few days of ICU and anti retrovirals and nearly not making it, our cat finally pulled through. I would not recommend this place to anyone, other than for buying food etc.
